Student & Staff Account Activation

The account activation process is the same for students, faculty, and staff. The system will know whether you are a student, faculty, or staff member. Please read the account activation instructions and watch the accompanying videos before activating your account.

What You Need:
  • Your Email Address
    • Student Format: username@llcc.edu (provided on your Admissions Welcome information and/or Class Schedule and is all lowercase)
    • Employee Format: FirstName.LastName@llcc.edu
  • Unique Password
    • Unique to your information applied to formatting below.
    • FIRST INITIAL OF FIRST NAME (upper case) + first initial of last name (lower case) + last 4 digits of Social Security Number or 0000 for international students + birth month + birth date
    • The birth month and date must be in two-digit format. (Ex. 01, 02, 10, 11)
      • Ex: Ju11110903 = Joe User > XXX-XX-1111 September 03
Step-by-step Instructions
  1. Enter your Email Address and click on Next.
    • Unique to your information applied to formatting below.
    • FIRST INITIAL OF FIRST NAME (upper case) + first initial of last name (lower case) + last 4 digits of Social Security Number or 0000 for international students + birth month + birth date
    • The birth month and date must be in two-digit format. (Ex. 01, 02, 10, 11)
      • Ex: Ju11110903 = Joe User > XXX-XX-1111 September 03
  2. You will be immediately prompted to change to a new secure password. Your password must consist of a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 16 characters, and must have three out of four of the following:
    • Lowercase characters.
    • Uppercase characters.
    • Numbers (0-9).
    • Special Characters.
Errors During Account Activation
  1. Please verify that you have entered your Username and your unique password correctly.
  2. If you have entered the information correctly and cannot log in with your unique password and:
    • are a student, please contact Admissions and Registration at 217-786-2292 to verify your personal information and request changes.
    • are an employee, please contact Human Resources at 217-786-2752 to verify your personal information and make any corrections.
  3. Please check your third-party Email address for notification of when you can attempt to activate your account again by following the Step-by-Step Instructions.
  4. For any other errors, please contact the IT Help Desk for assistance at 217-786-2555 or helpme@llcc.edu. Do not send your Unique Password to us via email!
